According to Moonalice legend, today is a day for the consumption of mass quantities. But you need to be prepared for temporal dyslexia. According to the psychedelic calendar, today is Bicycle Day, which commemorates the famous ride Dr Albert Hoffman took after his first experiment with LSD on April 19, 1943.
But according to the Moonalice calendar, today is 4/20, when the tribe gathers at Sweetwater to celebrate our favorite herbal entertainment.
We have a set of 18 posters for you to commemorate this day, and this one, by Wendy Wright highlights the temporal paradox we celebrate today. Whatever your preference, we hope you will celebrate the day with gusto, but also with restraint. In the world today, the going has gotten super weird. That means we all need to turn pro with our weirdness.
Before we take our set break, we would like to acknowledge the passing this past week of two long time fans of this band, Kris Temple and Dan McNamee. Both Kris and Dan overcame massive challenges in their lives. From the beginning of this band in 2007, they contributed their spirit of goodwill to the tribe. We will remember them and honor them forever.
Notes:
Lester Chambers and Roger McNamee did not perform at this show.
