According to Moonalice legend, we play our best show on the avenue. It does not matter which avenue. We just play better.
Today’s poster by Caitlin Mattisson depicts Anselma Moonalice, the patron saint of Moonalice gigs on avenues. True to her word, Anselma promised us that it would not be too hard or too sunny, and we are grateful for that. We are also grateful for each and every one of you. These are scary times. We need to stick to get together.
In case you have not heard, the Haight Street Art Center — where Dylan I are both involved — is hosting Forever Grateful, the world’s largest exhibitions of art, instruments, and artifacts associated with the Grateful Dead. The art and instrument exhibit — built around a working quarter scale model of the wall of sound — runs through Sept 20. The experiential exhibit in Golden Gate Park runs through October 25.
