According to Moonalice legend, the days are getting shorter. We were wondering why that might be happening … and discovered the answer right here in Half Moon Bay! It is summer’s end.
You know about Harvest Moons, Blue Moons, New Moons and all the other versions of the moon that pass by. Today’s poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts a new variant, the previously unknown Summer’s End Moon. Apparently it will be visible tonight only … and only here in Half Moon Bay. If the sky is clear — and we know that is a big if — the moon should be enormous. And you should be able to see a giant mountain. If you have any trouble, perhaps it will help to smoke a bit more weed.
