Who Was There?
According to Moonalice legend, Long Beach used to be known for its golden sailboats! Can it be that you are not familiar with the famous golden sailboats of Long Beach? Tonight’s poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts Golden Sails Moonalice, the original gold digger. As a tyke here in Long Beach 80 years ago, Golden Sails realized that she might get rich by plundering golden sailboats that crashed and sank on the rocks near here. She soon discovered that sailors in golden sailboats were way too smart to run their boats onto the rocks, so Golden Sails took matters into her own hands. She made a torpedo out of Legos and dynamite.
