The band is going to contribute $1 from every ticket on the current tour to the Rex Foundation, which makes grants to grassroots organizations in music and education. Created originally by Jerry Garcia, Rex supports organizations that are generally too small to get support from traditional foundations. The band has done numerous events for Rex in the past, but this is the first time Moonalice is doing a Rex Caravan tour where it gives a piece of every ticket for a whole tour. Now more than ever, we all need to do our part.

Due to a family medical situation, Jack will have to leave the tour this weekend and will not return until April 26.

We anticipate that Jack will be with us through Friday's show in San Diego. Jack will NOT be at the following shows:
* Phoenix
* Tucson
* Fairfax, CA
* San Francisco
* Elko, NV
* Felton, CA
* Redwood City, CA
* Salem, MO

We apologize to fans in all of these cities, and hope you understand that this is a serious situation that requires Jack to be with family. The rest of us promise to play some killer bass. We'll also try to wiggle our eyebrows a lot.

Our studio -- conveniently titled, "Moonalice" -- will be released April 14. The album was produced by T Bone Burnett and uses T Bone's CODE technology, which enables optimized playback on any system. The package will include a standard CD -- mixed for car or living room -- plus a DVD with optimized 96/24 (for playback on DVD players), MP3, AAC, and FLAC. It will also include the videos of Whiter Shade of Pale and Tell Me It's Okay. Both CD and DVD will be packaged together for the price of a CD.

This week's Download Of The Week is from the Mystic Theater in Petaluma. It was the second of four nights that we opened for the New Riders. Having been off the road for a month, we treated San Francisco and Petaluma as two sets of a single show. It was a really good time.

The show is posted on our Music tab.
