According to Moonalice legend, we last played here in 2017!! The band was ten years old then, but now Moonalice is old enough to drive and vote!
Today’s poster by Darrin Brenner depicts Cornet Moonalice, the tribe’s patron saint of waffle cones and summer. Cornet knows how hot is can get here in Alamo and wants to thank you for taking pity on us today. It is lovely here.
Moonalice has played hundreds of shows like this one over the years. Evening shows in town parks are magical, and we love playing them. This is our sixth one here in Livorna Park.
We would like to ask your indulgence for just a moment. Last night a dear friend of ours died after a long illness. Tracy Sheridan was the first person to discover Moonalice. She wrote a blog post about our song Blink of an Eye shortly after its release in 2007, and subsequently became a fan and friend. She was also as brave as a human being can be. I bring this up because not all of life’s surprises are good ones. Take care of the people you love. Hold them close. Tell them how you feel. Because you just never know.
