Who Was There?
According to Moonalice legend, tonight's poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts the Star of Ocean Beach, the most famous jewel in the history of our tribe. Before Winston's was a nightclub, Winston's grandfather Jerry sold jewelry made of hemp. Times were tough during the Depression and the rich were woefully short of weed. So Jerry Winston traded a small bag of bud for the 5000 carat, heart shaped jewel on this poster. Nobody in the tribe knew what to do with the Heart of Ocean Beach, so Jerry eventually traded it for a profit. He got TWO bags of buds.
