Afternoon acoustic set.
According to Moonalice legend, this event began as a formal gallery show in Fairfax, that was cancelled without warning (but for good reason) a few weeks before it was supposed to happen. We responded by staging a poster party at the Pavilion in Fairfax, a basketball court disguised as a red barn. As so often happens, the rebound proved better than the event it replaced.
According to Moonalice legend, poster art and our band have been intertwined from the beginning. Artistic director Chris Shaw and Alexandra Fischer were at our first rehearsals and had the final vote on the band's name. This show includes more than 420 Moonalice posters, the first time the whole series has been on display. Poster art is good for the soul and we're going to take this show on the road!!!
