We applaud Neil Young for calling out Spotify for hosting the Rogan podcast. We hope Spotify will recognize that it made a mistake and cancel the podcast. Unlike Neil Young, Moonalice is not in a position to walk away from the dominant platform in streaming. You, our fans, do have that option. If you feel more comfortable moving to another platform, we encourage you to do so. Apple is a good choice.

Moonalice releases new single — Woo Woo!

On New Year’s Eve, Nettwerk Music released the second Moonalice single, Woo Woo. Written and sung by Rachel Tietjen, Woo Woo has been a staple of Moonalice set lists since the T Sisters and The New Chambers Brothers joined in the summer of 2019. The song delivers a snappy ride on a steam train to someplace wonderful.

Woo Woo is available on iTunes and all streaming platforms.

Our final show of 2021 was in the newly renovated Bandshell in Golden Gate Park. December 18 was the final full moon of 2021, as well as one of the shortest and coldest days of the year. Our host, Illuminate, created the show as a tribute to Howl, the Beat poem by Allen Ginsberg, streaming the full text on the outside walls of the DeYoung Museum, adjacent to the stage. Despite the cold, it was a fantastic evening. We debuted six or seven new songs/arrangements (depending on whether you count the Love Medley as one or two).
