Tom Lieber, luthier who fashioned Pete Sears "Dragon" bass, describes how Grateful Dead forum RUKIND.com was instrumental in its recovery!!!

It was cut from the same tree as Jerry Garcia's "Tiger!" Now, 35 years after it was stolen during a riot at a festival in Germany, Moonalice's Pete Sears has his bass back!

Here is the back story of how this came about in the words of Tom Lieber, the luthier at the Doug Irwin Custom Shop who fashioned the beautiful “Dragon” in 1976-77 under the Doug Irwin Shop name. While he was designing and building the Dragon bass, Tom also worked with Doug on the early designs of Jerry Garcia's “Tiger.”

Moonalice performing at the BottleRock festival in Napa on May 9!!!

The BottleRock festival in Napa is going to be the ultimate celebration. On a scale of 1 to 10, we’re giving it a 42!!! And Moonalice is going to be there on May 9 at 1:30pm on the WillPower stage followed by ALO and The Black Crowes!!!

BottleRock is a five-day, delicacy-fueled foray into the absolute best music, comedy, wine, food, and beer the world has to offer. From the 9th through the 12th May, downtown Napa will the epicenter of a collision of music, food and wine that is going to reverberate for miles around.
