According to Moonalice legend, the first post office here in Alamo opened in 1851, right after California became a state. There were only a handful of families here in town and the roster of names caught our attention: Jones, Glass, Englemeyer, Stone, Wall, Bollinger, Foster, Moonalice. Moonalice? Apparently, our forebears raised peacocks and ladybugs right here in Alamo, which, despite tonight’s incredible poster by Carolyn Ferris, was a venture doomed to failure.
According to Moonalice legend, Alamo is an unincorporated community. We understand you have been trying to get incorporated for generations, but your neighbors won't let you. We want you to know that the Moonalice tribe stands shoulder to shoulder with the citizens of Alamo in your struggle for freedom!!!
